Eddie has a mixture of experience between the trading floor and electronic environments. He began his career as an options market maker for prestigious options firms Archelon Trading and The Hull Group, trading index and equity options in the pits on the CME, CBOE, and AMEX. He also traded for a hedge fund within Archelon and spent many years using various platforms as a proprietary derivatives trader.

Sector Focus

Long and short options strategies, stock indices, meats, grains, energies, metals, softs

Analysis Preference

Eddie believes in using technical indicators along with fundamental information. He develops a directional bias based on a vast array of indicators (moving averages, Bollinger Bands, MACD, Support/Resistance, Gaps, etc) then backs that opinion up with the current headlines relevant to that particular product.

Strengths and Trading Philosophy

Eddie realizes that being able to demonstrate discipline is as important as anything. A successful trader never tries to impose his opinion onto the market. Instead, a trader's skill lies within interpreting what the market is telling him and capitalizing on it.

He also feels it is essential to balance patience and aggressiveness depending on market conditions. It is just as important to know when to trade as it is when not to trade. The best results will be achieved by taking full advantage of the best opportunities that the market presents. Constant focus, attention, discipline, and risk management are the keys to long term success
